An Up-Cycled Project, Thrifted Placemat to Purse, A Sewing Project

love me a good thrift store find! My mind is always churning when I enter a thrift store. What can I make out of this? How can I transform this into something completely different?

I hunt for interesting fabrics and trims. When I found this set of placemats, I knew it was a treasure. The fabric was so interesting with embroidery flowers in a beautiful pale yellow color. They’re were a couple of soiled spots that I knew I could work around.

This week I worked on several different bags, all using thrifted items and scraps. The video focuses on turning a placemat into a purse. I hope you enjoy it. I also included pictures of my other finished projects this week.
