Scrap Quilting, A Mini Wall Hanging

Scrap Quilting, A Mini Wall Hanging

A mini wall hanging

Using up some of those scraps is so rewarding! In this weeks project, I use a crumb quilting method to complete two mini wall quilts. Once the backgrounds were completed, I used an easy binding method to finish the quilts. Here is an older video where I show that binding technique.

I wanted to give this a Christmas theme so I added a whimsical tree and star. The words “Do you see what I see was stitched using free-motion appliqué. My stitching isn’t perfect but I love the sketched-on look.

Here is the a free template of the tree, star and words if anyone wants to give this project a try.

Keeping with the woodsy feel, jute twine was used to give the tree trunks texture and also used for hanging these mini quilt.
