How to Transfer a Family Picture to Fabric

Transferring pictures on to fabric is quick and easy using your household printer.  In this tutorial I show you the method that works for me.

My grandma was quite the photographer.  I can’t imagine that she took the time.  After all, she was a busy farmer’s wife back in the 1920’s.  She took all her photos on a little box camera.  I love the sepia tones and the clear images.  In this picture my dad and aunt are playing.  The house in the background is the original farmhouse and the one that I grew up in.  I am so blessed to have this captured memory.

I use a Canon Pixma MG2520 printer to transfer the picture unto natural muslin.  A mailing label positioned on the back of the muslin helps feed it through the printer.

This mini wall hanging took no time at all to complete and would make a very personalize gift.  I hope you give it a try!  The clip makes such a crafty hanger and is an easy DIY.  You can follow the steps in this post.

Here’s the video- Enjoy!
